Teacher Blogs
These blogs were created from different teachers and offer many creative art lesson plans. The blogs also offer different resources and how to incorporate art into different subjects in school.
Incredible @rt Department
This teacher blog is a great resource to find different art lessons/ activites for all age groups. There are different sections that are for each level (pre-k, elementary, middle, high, college) that have appropriate lessons for that particular age group. There is also a section where teachers can submit lessons for other teachers to use.
The Teaching Palette
This blog is not just a resource for art lessons. It also has different art projects that help with classroom management and includes different ideas to use to set up your classroom. I think this is my favorite teacher blog because it includes alot of help tips that I could use in my classroom.
Julie Voigt- Art for Small Hands
This is another blog that contains different lessons for in the classroom or even at home. I feel like this website is geared more towards elementary school students, which is perfect for when I become a teacher. The lessons within this blog are not difficult for children and can easily be done without them getting frustrated.
Kristin Thomas - For the Love of Art
This teacher blog was created by a fifth grade elementary school special needs teacher. It is filled with all different types of lessons for 1st-6th grade. All of the lessons are incorporated into different subject areas or are related to a holiday or season.
Gail - That Artist Woman
This blog is another great blog filled with many lessons. The way this blog is setup is that its categorized into the different types of art, such as, 3D sculptures, painting and drawing, textiles, and mixed media. One thing I really like about this blog is that each step is shown in pictures to give a better understanding.
